Enjoy the peace of the Roer
Here, the Roer is given free rein through the flat landscape. Sitting on the lounge bench makes us realise how special the place is. Take your time to enjoy the peace to the full. The Roer was still a seriously polluted river in the 1970s. Now more than 30 species of fish swim in it. Lie back on the bench and listen to the creaking of the trees.
Location
Park at the Grootestraat 49 car park in Vlodrop. Turn left across the bridge. At the Tussen de Bruggen/Bondersweg roundabout, head towards Herkenbosch and turn left at the first sand pool. Follow the signs WaterWandelWereld number 6, which will take you to the lounge bench on der Roer.
