The route starts in Effeld on the Steinkirchener Strasse. You will pass the Effelder Waldsee, Aerwinkel Castle, the Baseliek in Sint Odiliënberg and the Prins Berhard Molen. If you're a nature lover, you'll love the route as it crosses De Meinweg National Park and the Birgeler Wald. You will encounter the little river the Ruhr several times during this trip. The route follows junctions, both on the German and Dutch side of the border.
